Ruth E. Stafford and James D. Durante Nursing Scholarships
The Ruth E. Stafford and James D. Durante Nursing Scholarships assist staff currently working in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in pursuing education to become an LPN, RN, or pursuing an advanced degree as an RN. The Foundation for Quality Care administers this program.
The Foundation for Quality Care is passionate about helping staff currently working in Assisted and Skilled Nursing facilities who are motivated to Make a Difference in the lives of others and on a mission to provide quality care. Through The Foundation we offer The Ruth E. Stafford and James D. Durante Nursing Scholarships in helping you achieve your goals.
NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
SKILLED NURSING:
CATEGORY I: Students pursuing licenses as a practical nurse or registered nurse
CATEGORY II: Registered nurses pursuing advanced degrees in nursing (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Specialist)
ASSISTED LIVING:
CATEGORY I: Students pursuing licenses as a practical nurse or registered nurse
Recipients will be presented with their awards at the annual Nurse Leadership Conference held on September 12-13, 2024

NYSHFA | NYSCAL Region Scholarships
NYSHFA | NYSCAL sponsors a Scholarship program, in collaboration with the NYSHFA Regions, to provide financial help to employees of NYSHFA | NYSCAL member facilities. Recipients receive a $750 Scholarship. Educational programs must be strictly related to the applicant’s healthcare career.
