Caring for Nurses Who Care for You

Around the world, the nursing profession is celebrating 2020 as the World Health Organization has declared 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.

“Wise and humane management of the patient is the best safeguard against infection.”

Florence Nightingale.

Throughout this pandemic, we have heard many heartwarming stories about the bravery and courage exemplified by the nurses in long-term care facilities. When visitation was closed to family and friends in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, nurses stepped in as not only the skilled caregiver but assumed the role of a loved one or friend. In addition to the significant human toll, COVID-19 has been financially devastating for many providers.

Dynamic and results-oriented nurse leaders are essential to providing high-quality care and preserving the quality of life for our most vulnerable seniors. The annual Nurse Leadership Conference offers innovative and interactive sessions that will challenge attendees’ knowledge about quality solutions, stimulate an open dialogue and empower all to provide the highest quality of care to their residents.
