The Health Care Open Golf Tournament helps to benefit the Foundation for Quality Care’s Ruth E. Stafford and James D. Durante Nursing Scholarships, as well as the FQC’s Long Term Care Leadership Institute and Art from the Heart programs.
The Ruth E. Stafford Scholarship Fund, established in 1992, provides financial support to nursing students pursuing Registered Nursing Licensure. The James D. Durante Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to nursing students or for an RN pursuing an advanced degree. Since its inception, the Health Care Open Golf Tournament has raised over $300,000 in scholarships for skilled nursing and assisted living professionals in New York State.
