Advance Your Nursing Education. Expand Your Impact.
James D. Durante and The Ruth E. Stafford Nursing Scholarships assist staff currently working in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities who are pursuing education to become an LPN or RN, or pursuing an advanced degree as an RN. The Foundation for Quality Care administers this program.
The Foundation for Quality Care is passionate about helping staff currently working in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of others and are on a mission to provide quality care. Through the Foundation, we offer the Ruth E. Stafford and James D. Durante Nursing Scholarships to help you achieve your goals.

Category I: Students pursuing licenses as a practical nurse or registered nurse
Category II: Registered nurses pursuing advanced degrees in nursing including Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, Nurse Practitioner, or Clinical Specialist programs

Regional Support for Career Growth in Long-Term Care
NYSHFA | NYSCAL sponsors a scholarship program, in collaboration with the NYSHFA Regions, to provide financial help to employees of NYSHFA | NYSCAL member facilities.
Recipients receive a $750 scholarship. Educational programs must be strictly related to the applicant’s healthcare career.
