Thank You to Our Instructors and Participants in this Year’s Interdisciplinary Team Series!

NYSCAL is excited to provide the new Assisted Living Interdisciplinary Team Series to share key knowledge and experiences from Assisted Living interdisciplinary team members. This series will provide an opportunity for Assisted Living leadership to come together to learn from each other to ensure a smooth-running facility.

Each session will feature a different interdisciplinary team member, including an Administrator, Case Manager, Dietary Director, Maintenance Director, and Activities Director (See Below). Each team member will share their experiences and strategies for providing quality care in Assisted Living residences. We look forward to having you join us for this exciting series!


PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS:

ROGER BERNIER, LNHA  |  PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER  |  CHELSEA SENIOR LIVING

Roger has 30 years of long-term care directorship experience. In his current capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the operations management of assisted living residences and managing the strategic growth of Chelsea Senior Living.

DANI LAINO-GREENE, MSW  |  EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR  |  SUNRISE AT EAST 56TH

Dani has a wealth of experience in the Assisted Living Industry. She began her assisted living journey as a Recreation Assistant, and was promoted to Case Manager and Director of Case Management. As Executive Director Dani led her team to overcome various obstacles during the height of the pandemic.

RENEE MARKLE  |  DIRECTOR OF RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT  |  KINGSWAY COMMUNITY

Renee attained her Bachelor’s in Creative Arts Therapies and her Master’s in Health Care Administration with a concentration in Gerontology. She is the New York State Representative for the National Certification Council of Activities Professionals (NCCAP) and is certified as an Activities Consultant.

DAVID MEZZAUCELLA  |  DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES  |  WILLOW TOWERS ASSISTED LIVING & WILLOW GARDENS MEMORY CARE

David has over 25 years of facilities management experience.

AZRA STRACUZZI, RN  |  ADMINISTRATOR  |  KINGSWAY MANOR ASSISTED LIVING

Azra has 20 years of experience in health care including acute care, long-term care, and assisted living.
